Meet Francisco Rodriguez

Francisco Rodriguez is a seasoned criminal defense attorney with more than 25 years of experience. He has extensive jury trial experience and has handled many writs and appeals with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Admitted to the State Bar of California in 1997, he focuses a significant portion of his practice on DUI defense, including courtroom litigation and DMV administrative hearings to challenge license suspensions.

Mr. Rodriguez began his career as a public defender in San Francisco and Santa Cruz, where he gained extensive trial experience handling a wide range of criminal matters. He later became a senior partner at Katsuranis & Rodriguez, where he has handled thousands of criminal and DUI cases, from first-time misdemeanors to high-BAC, injury, and multiple-offense felonies.

In addition to his courtroom work, Mr. Rodriguez regularly handles DMV DUI Administrative Hearings, where he has fought hundreds of license suspensions with a strong record of success. He is known for his thorough case review, assertive motion practice, and willingness to take cases to trial when it serves his clients’ best interests. Fluent in Spanish, he provides clear, bilingual representation to clients across the Bay Area who are facing the serious personal and professional consequences of a criminal or DUI arrest.

Mr. Rodriguez now works with Lamano Law as Of Counsel. Firm founder Givelle Lamano has long admired his work; when she was first starting out as an attorney, she watched him in court and was inspired by seeing a person of color in a suit fiercely fighting for his clients. That same dedication and advocacy is what he brings to every case he handles with Lamano Law.

Mr. Rodriguez is licensed to practice in all California state courts as well as the Northern and Southern Districts of California federal court. He is a family man that loves to spend time with his wife and three daughters. We are proud to work with such a highly respected attorney.
