Meet Justine Collier

Justine Collier-Mendez is a dedicated paralegal with over a decade of experience in legal support, hospitality, and administrative roles. She worked with Lamano Law Office for five years before serving as a legal evaluator for sexually violent predators appearing before the Board of Parole for the State of California. Her return to the firm reflects her ongoing commitment to justice, client advocacy, and trauma-informed legal support.

Justine’s background in the hospitality industry sharpened her ability to manage high-pressure situations, and provide exceptional client service—all essential skills in criminal defense. Clients appreciate her clear, consistent communication, along with her attention to detail, ability to explain complex legal issues in simple terms, and deep understanding of how local courts operate in the areas we serve. She also supported a forensic psychologist handling parole evaluations, gaining firsthand experience with sensitive legal and medical documentation and the inner workings of the correctional system.

Her strong organizational skills and compassionate approach make her an invaluable part of our defense team. She excels at managing discovery, preparing case files, and ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout the legal process.

Justine holds an honors diploma from Modoc High School and studied at Cypress College. Outside of work, she enjoys being at home with her husband and many pets, traveling, photography, and community engagement.
