Meet Keydon Levy

Keydon Levy is an accomplished trial attorney with more than a decade of courtroom experience. Mr. Levy joined the Firm in 2021 after a nine-year career as Deputy District Attorney for the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office. While there, he managed a high-volume caseload for felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases from intake to disposition. He crossed over to the defense side after firsthand experience of the DA’s office weaponizing accusations and seeing dangerous consequences criminal allegations have against people of color.

During his time as a Deputy DA, Mr. Levy supervised entry-level attorneys and successfully argued motions, settlement negotiations, and prepared expert witnesses, lay witnesses, investigators, and analysts for trial. In recent years, he worked as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University of School of Law teaching mock trial and evidence courses to law students.

Mr. Levy graduated received his Juris Doctorate from UC Berkeley. During law school, he was the founder of the Black Law Student Association mock trial team and won both the Western Region and San Diego competitions. He was elected President of Law Students of African Descent and served as a member of the Board of the Advocates Trial Team. He received his Bachelors degree from Pennsylvania State University where he majored in Criminology and graduated both as the valedictorian and with summa cum laude honors.

His accolades include a lifetime membership of the Charles Houston Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Bar Association, Bar Association of San Francisco, former Vice-President of the Bay Area Black Prosecutors Association, and a past member of the Earl Warren Inn of Court. Mr. Levy has been nominated by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 40 under 40 Criminal Defense Lawyers in California.

He is admitted to practice law in California, New York, the US District Courts for Central, Northern, and Southern districts, and with the District of Columbia and the Southern District of New York.

Mr. Levy is the first male of counsel attorney in our all-women firm. He addresses every case with crucial attention to detail, organizational skills, and criminal law experience required for successful litigation in serious and violent cases. His expertise in case analysis, jury trials, strategic planning, and negotiations are some of the few reasons we are proud to have him on our team.

During his free time, Mr. Levy enjoys bicycling and trying out new recipes.
